Paul Johnson - “The Brookwood Killers – Military Murderers of the Second World War ”
The Talk: A captivating presentation delves into the lives of those soldiers whose names are etched on the Brookwood Memorial for the missing, yet whose final resting places are known, marked by deaths that were anything but heroic. These individuals, all convicted murderers, faced execution following civil or military trials for their heinous crimes. With one exception, their remains rest in un-consecrated ground. As Paul Johnson uncovers the sombre truths concealed within the memorial's panels, he also introduces fresh evidence regarding a previously unknown traitor whose crime never reached the courtroom, and the events that lead to his demise.
