Welcome to Herts at War
The Herts at War Project (HAW) is a project for those interested in the Great War and Hertfordshire’s part in it.
Our aims are to:
- To Commemorate – the men and women who served and died and those who survived.
- To Educate – about life and death in the Great War and give perspective to the War, the Home Front and to counter common myths.
- To Interact – with the families of those we commemorate and those who wish to know more about Hertfordshire and the Great War.
Through the above, our research and the work of all our volunteers we aim to be the County’s leading resource for Hertfordshire in the Great War. Read More.
