Pre War

Currently we have insufficient information to positively identify this soldier. The St Albans Cathedral Diocese records give his name as James Eaton, suggests a connection to the parish of Knebworth and that he was a Private in the East Surrey Regiment.

So far only two possibilities have been found: Private 9542, J Eaton and Private G/1825, James Eaton but no connection has been found so far to Knebworth for either.
