Biography

He was born in Hertfordshire and before joining up he was the manager of the Hermitage Halls in Hitchin. At the time he enlisted he was a resident of Hertfordshire. His Service Number was 1720848 and he served in 381 Battery of the 120th Anti-Aircraft Regiment


He died whilst in the forces and the funeral was at the Congregational Church, Hitchin and he is buried in Grave 755 West Extension in Hitchin Cemetery. The circumstances of his death have not been discovered. 


He was the son of William and Emily Phillpot and the husband of Eileen Winifred. His home was at 6, Pulters Way, Hitchin.
