Biography
Before the war he worked at the Letchworth Bacon Factory for a number of years. He also played the saxophone and guitar in a local band He joined up in June 1940 but was discharged during the course of a long illness after being sent to Chalkdell Hitchin Emergency Hospital.
He is buried in Hitchin Cemetery West Section next to R.J. Fraas.
He was the only son of Mr and Mrs P.J. Muir of 10, Lancaster Ave, Hitchin and his father was an active member of the Hitchin Brotherhood.
