Son of Arthur Henry and Clara Harriet (nee PAGE) TINNISWOOD of Kingston-on Thames, Surrey.

His parents married 29 June 1890 at St Peter’s, Norbiton, Surrey.  Arthur died 29 October 1937 in Kingston aged 75; Clara died 1951 in the Cambridge district aged 88.

Arthur was born 1 November 1893 in Kingston-on-Thames, and baptised 26 November 1893 at St Peter’s, Norbiton.  He resided in Kingston.

On the 1901 Census, aged 7 he lived in Kingston, with his parents and two siblings.  On the 1911 Census, an apprentice etcher aged 17, he still lived in Kingston, with his parents and three siblings.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in Brentford, Middx; was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914-15 Star medals, his qualifying date being 21 September 1915, and died of wounds received in action.  

Additional Information

Unfortunately, Arthur’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
