Son of David and Alice (nee PAYNE) HINE of Hounslow, Middx; husband of Lucy C (nee PAYNE) HINE of Watford.
His parents married 6 January 1886 at St Mary’s, Watford. David died 5 Ocotber 1942 in Isleworth, Middx, aged 82; Alice died 2 March 1956 in Hounslow aged 93.
Frederick was born 17 March 1889 in Ealing, and baptised 18 August 1889 at St John’s, Northfields, Ealing Dean. He married 1911 in the Brentford, Middx, district; and resided in Watford. Lucy never remarried and died 1935 in the Brentford district aged 61.
He has an entry in the National Probate Calendar.
On the 1891 Census, aged 2 he lived in Ealing, with his parents and no siblings. On the 1901 Census, aged 12 he still lived in Ealing, with his parents and one sibling. On the 1911 Census, a butcher aged 22 he lived in Hounslow, with his parents and one sibling.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in Ealing, Middx; was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914-15 Star medals, his qualifying date being 1 June 1915, and was killed in action.
Additional Information
There is a Death announcement for Frederick in the West Herts and Watford Observer dated 29 July 1916, and In Memoriams in the issues dated 7 July 1917, 6 July 1918 and 5 July 1919.
Unfortunately, Frederick’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
