Additional Information

There is an article about and a Death announcement for William in the West Herts and Watford Observer dated 19 October 1918; plus an In Memoriam in the issue dated 29 March 1919.

Unfortunately, William’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing; neither does he feature in the Soldiers Died in the Great War dataset.

*1 Believed more correctly, (County of London) Bn. London Regiment (Poplar and Stepney Rifles).
