Son of Joseph and Mary (nee ARNOLD) DIXON.
His parents married 20 January 1880 at All Saints, Harrow Weald, Middx. Mary died 1926 in Watford aged 83, and was buried 16 December in Vicarage Road Cemetery, Watford; Joseph died 1939 in Watford aged 88, and was buried 22 February, also in Vicarage Road Cemetery.
Harold was born 1884 in Watford, and resided in Watford.
On the 1891 Census, a scholar aged 7 he lived in Watford, with his parents and two siblings. On the 1901 Census, a decorator and house painter aged 17, he still lived in Watford, with his parents and two siblings. On the 1911 Census, a house painter aged 27, he still lived in Watford, with his parents and two siblings.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in Bedford, and was formerly Private 6408 Bedfordshire Regiment.
He was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was killed in action.

Unfortunately, Harold’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
