HMS “Impregnable” was a Royal Navy training establishment at Devonport. Thomas gave his occupation as Shop Assistant when he joined up, and initially served as a Ship’s Boy II before being promoted to Ship’s Boy I on 10th August 1918. Thomas remained at HMS “Impregnable” for the remainder of the War, and served in the Royal Navy until 31st August 1927.
The Abbots Langley Parish Magazine Roll of Honour first recorded Thomas Davison in October 1918, serving with the Royal Navy. His father, Frederick Davison, served in France throughout the War with the Royal Army Medical Corps, having enlisted in the opening months of the conflict in 1914.
