Biography
Thomas Neal was born on 13th April 1896 at Abbots Langley. He was one of nine children (two sons and seven daughters) born to Thomas (senior) and Sarah Neal. In the 1901 Census the family was recorded living at 68 Marlin Square, Abbots Langley. Thomas (senior) worked as a Gardener.
Thomas (junior) was first recorded in the Abbots Langley Parish Magazine Roll of Honour in June 1915, serving with the Hertfordshire Yeomanry. He was recorded serving with the Yeomanry in the Parish Magazine each month until the end of August 1916, after which he was not listed in the Parish Roll of Honour. It is not known why he was not recorded from this point and it is assumed that Thomas survived the War as no record of his death has been identified.
Thomas Neal survived the War.
