Biography

Alfred Easton’s association with Abbots Langley was through marriage. On 21st December 1901 Alfred married Annie Millicent Collins from Abbots Langley at Epsom.

Alfred was born in Epsom in the summer of 1877, and in the 1911 Census his occupation was given as a Laundry Car Man. At this time the couple had two children and were living at 7 Girault Cottages, The Common, Epsom.

Alfred was listed in the Abbots Langley Parish Magazine Roll of Honour in 1917, serving with the Hertfordshire Yeomanry. It is presumed that the entry was suggested by the Collins family who were still living in Abbots Langley at the time.

Alfred Easton survived the War.
