Born 3rd March 1900, baptised 23rd March 1902 Rickmansworth, son of James Arthur and Kate Elizabeth Nunn of 60 Church Street..

 

The 1901 census records the family living at 3 Stanley Cottages, Station Road, Rickmansworth. Father James aged 35 was a shoemaker and born in Camberwell. Mother Kate Elizabeth was aged 36 and born in Lewes, Sussex. Charles Ernest aged 10 was a grocer's lad born in Harrow. May aged 8 and was born in Rickmansworth. Sidney aged 3 and was born in Rickmansworth. Alexander aged 1 and was born in Rickmansworth.

 

Recorded as enlisting in Watford.

Wartime Service

Formerly 22583, 9th Battalion Bedfordshire Regiment.

Died, probably from disease, on 26th August 1916, in one of the hospitals in Amara.
