Pre War

*1 We had insufficient information to positively identify this soldier. The St Albans Cathedral Diocese records suggest a connection to Cheshunt and that he was Private Percy John Collins in the Lancashire Fusiliers.

With this information a Private 47881, P J Collins has been found who was in the Lancashire Fusiliers and was a POW until his release and return to England on the 28th November 1918. He died on 16 July 1922, so it seems likely that he is the man commemorated on these memorials.
