Horace Percival Cooper was born 1875 in Guisborough (in 1881 census*1), Yorks, the son of George and Caroline Amelia Cooper.
On the 1881 Census he was living in Digswell with grandparents Joseph and Anne Cooper. [Unable to find on later census records].
*1 Recorded as Born in Digswell, Herts and living in Epsom when he enlisted in the Soldier Died in the Great War database.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in Epsom, Surrey and served with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers in France from 28 December 1914.
He was killed in action and death was presumed. His body was not recovered for burial, or not identified, and his name is commemorated on the Le Touret Memorial.
