Pre War

Born in 1885 in Colchester, Essex son of William and Eliza Jane (Abraham) Dyer later of 42 St. John's Street, Bedford. His father was Colour Sergeant and Instructor in the Army and was living in the Drill Hall, Amwell End, Ware where he was Instructor.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertford and in 1911 he was serving in Bermuda with the Bedfordshires, entered France with his brother on 6 Oct 1914 and died of wounds in No. 1 Clearing Hospital, St. Omer.

Additional Information

Brother of Private Arthur John Dyer who died of wounds on 27 Sep 1918.
