Pre War

Born in 1877 in Wormley, Herts, son of George and Mary Allum. Married Emily Dorcas Osborn in 1909. 1911 Census: was living at 7 Graham Cottages, Brigadier Hill, Enfield, Herts with wife and children Olive and Alice and working as a bricklayer's labourer.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Mill Hill, Middlesex. Formerly No. 53535 Royal Fusiliers, 34 Bn.. Served in France and Flanders. Died of wounds.

Additional Information

The guardian (and grandfather) of his children, George H Allum, received a war gratuity of £8. (N.B. Wife Emily died in 1915)
