Walter was the son of Andrew & Elizabeth Russell, of Hope Cottage, Stockens Green, Knebworth.
Wartime Service
He arrived in Egypt in late1915, and served with Dunsterforce. He was reported as Missing during the fighting around the city of Baku. Walter has no known grave and his name is recorded on the Tehran Memorial.
