Born in 1890 in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire and was baptised on 8 Apr 1890 in Hoddesdon son of James John and Esther (Harris) Roberts and living in 87 High Street, Hoddesdon in 1891, 1901 and in 1911. He was a confectioner like his father.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at St Pancras and was killed in action in the trenches near Vermelles during the Battle of Loos.

Thomas is also commemorated on a headstone in Hoddesdon Cemetery. His part of the inscription reads:
