Born on 5 Sep 1875 in Kansati, India son of Lt. Col. Frederick William and Mrs. Nicolay of Rose Hill, Bideford, Devon. Educated at the United Services College 1889-94. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 6 Jun 1896, Lieutenant on 4 Oct 1899 and Captain on 6 Jun 1905. He married Elizabeth Susanna Winifred Hanby on 10 Oct 1901 in Darjeeling, Bengal, India.

Wartime Service

He was killed in action at Neuve-Chapelle.

Additional Information

United Services College, Westward Ho, Devon amalgamated with Imperial Service College in Windsor in 1912 and then moved to Haileybury College, Hertford Heath in 1942.
