Born on 10 Jan 1897 in Chichester, Sussex son of Frederick James and Ina Emily Adames. Educated at Royal Masonic School 1907-12. He sailed for Canada arriving on 1 Mar 1913 with a view to settling in Winnipeg, Manitoba as a farmer.

Wartime Service

Enlisted on 11 Jan 1915 at Moosomin, SK, Canada. Killed in action at the Battle of Mount Sorrel in the Ypres Salient after an attack by the enemy on Sanctuary Wood
