Pre War

Born in 1887 in Ware, Hertfordshire and was living as a lodger in Burslem, Staffordshire in 1901. In 1911 he was an accountant’s clerk and living with his brother-in-law in Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent. He married Florence Norcrop in 1915 in Stoke-on-Trent later of 36 Sandon Street, Etruria Vale, Hanley, Stoke-on-Trent.

Wartime Service

Formerly 48516, Staffordshire Regiment, he was killed in action in France.
