From the 1901 Census we find Edmund living at 4 Maypole Cottages Water End with Grandfather Thomas a journeyman blacksmith, Edmund’s mother Amy Rosetta was working away, she married a Thomas Kirby in 1904 moving with Edmund to Holborn.
Recorded as Born in Hatfield and living in Raynes Park, Middlesex when he enlidted in St Pancras, Middlesex.
Wartime Service
Edmund enlisted into the Royal Field Artillery at St. Pancras as Driver 85212, transferring later to the Royal Engineers.
Died of Wounds.
Additional Information
Edmund does not appear on the North Mymms War Memorial and it is unknown at present whether he is listed on a London Memorial.
