Pre War

Born in 1883 in Ware, Hertfordshire son of John and Hannah Parnell and was living in the Bourne, Ware in 1891 and in Musley Hill, Ware in 1901. He married Daisy Parnell in 1909 in Ware and lived at 23 Watton Road, Ware with one son in 1911.

Wartime Service

Enlisted at Hertford and died of wounds in No. 41 casualty clearing station in Daours in France.

Additional Information

In CWGC as G/ 38072. Brother of Private Harry Parnell who was killed in action on 31 Jul 1917 and of Private John Arthur Parnell who was killed in action on 26 Sep 1916 and who are also commemorated on these memorials.
