Born in Weston in 1877, eldest son of Noah and Sarah Ann Clements of Damask Green, Weston. Baptised on 24 June 1877, Weston.
Married Sarah Ann Ellis in January 1905. 1911 Census: living with family at Mill Hill, Weston and working as a Farm Labourer. Had five children.
Wartime Service
Formerly Beds Regt, no. 13984. Served in the Balkans. Presumed dead & killed in action during action around Crete-Simonet.
Additional Information
Mr and Mrs Clements also lost Jack's brother, Herbert George, who is also named on the memorial and their son William was wounded at Neuve Chapelle. They also lost ten cousins. Widow Sarah was awarded a £5 war gratuity.
