Pre War

Born in 1886 in Ware, Hertfordshire son of Henry and Alice Maria Cockman and was living at 5 Council Houses, Musley Hill, Ware in 1901 and working as a bird-scarer. He married Lily Fisher in 1917 in Norwich. Formerly 11617, 2nd Bn. Royal Fusiliers he had been in the service since 1906 and was in India in 1911.

Wartime Service

He entered the Western Front in 1916 and appears to have suffered with a “disordered action of the heart” and was evacuated on 7 Mar 1917. He died in Cambridge after the end of WW1.
