*1 The SDITGW records his service number as 465572. However, both regiments and the date of death confirms they are the same man.
*2 His connection to Tring is perhaps unproven as the only connection found is the SDITGW recording him living in Tring, Bucks., - Tring is in Hertfordshire and no Tring has been found in Bucks.
