Born on 9 Feb 1889 son of the Rev. Edward Joshua and Sarah (Louch) Sing of Rotherfield, Lyme Regis, Dorset. Educated at Haileybury School 1903-07 and Christ's College, Cambridge. Assistant Native Commissioner, Northern Rhodesia.

Wartime Service

Enrolled as Lance Corporal 1112 10th Royal Fusiliers and entered France on 31 Jul 1915. Obtained a commission in the 7th Royal Sussex Regiment on 18 Mar 1916. He was killed in action at Ovillers during the Battle of the Somme.
