Born in 1877 in Ware, Hertfordshire son of Robert G. and Mary A. Castle and was living in 45 Priory Street, Ware and working as a malt maker in 1901.
He married May Morris in 1908 in Hertford and was living in 70 Crib Street, Ware and working as a maltster’s labourer with two children in 1911. His wife later lived at 26 Markfield Road, Broad Lane, Tottenham.
Wartime Service
Enlisted at Hertford, entered France on 24 Sep 1915 and died of wounds in 23rd General Hospital, Etaples.
