Royal Masonic School Memorial, Rickmansworth

Pre War

Born on 17 Apr 1896 in Hornsey, Middlesex son of Harry Ernest and Sarah Isabella Case later of Islington. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1907-12 and became a civil engineer in Newcastle.

Wartime Service

Enlisted on 29 Dec 1914 as a sapper 1740 in the Royal Engineers but was given a commission two weeks later. Entered France on 21 Jul 1915 and was shot by a sniper while repairing a front line trench just like his brother.

Additional Information

Brother of Lieutenant Elliot Dryden Case who was killed in action on 27 Jul 1915 and is also commemorated on this memorial.
