Royal Masonic School Memorial, Rickmansworth

Pre War

Born in Feb 1891 and baptised on 12 Apr 1891 in Wood Green, London son of Harry Ernest and Sarah Isabella Case later of Islington. Educated at the Royal Masonic School 1901-07. He became a civil engineer in Newcastle.

Wartime Service

Commissioned 2nd Lieutenant R.E. in Sep 1914 and entered France in April 1915. He was shot by a sniper while repairing a front-line trench near Armentieres.

Additional Information

Brother of 2nd Lieutenant Harry Ernest Case who was killed on 14 Aug 1915 and is also commemorated on this memorial.
