In 1917the Division moved to the Arras Sector for The Battles of Arras 1917 in the phases of the Battle of Vimy (9-14 Apr), the Attack on La Coulotte (23 Apr), 3rd Battle of the Scarpe (3-4 May), Oppy Wood (28 Jun).

On 7 Sep 1917 the Division was relieved and moved out of the line for a period, being sent next to Flanders for the Battle of 3rd Ypres (Passchendaele) in the Battles of Polygon Wood  (26 Sep – 3 Oct) and of Broodseinde  (4 Oct).
