Born on 6 Jan 1896 in Dulwich, London son of Sidney John and Harriett Jane (Tyer) Sandle, later of "The Hollies," Mason's Hill, Bromley, Kent. Educated at Haileybury College 1910-13.

Wartime Service

He enlisted at Armoury House, London on 26 Jan 1914 from Haileybury College O.T.C. Embarked for France from Southampton on 18 Sep 1914 with the British Expeditionary Force. Died in the 7th Field Ambulance of wounds received the previous day near Kemmel.
