Son of Joseph and Louisa (nee RIDGWAY) BRANDON.


His parents married 1894 in the Aylesbury, Bucks, district.  Louisa died 1917 in the Watford district aged 59; Joseph died 1936 in the Aylesbury district aged 81.


John was born 1896 in Watford, and baptised 6 June 1897 at St Mary’s, Watford.  He resided in Watford.


On the 1901 Census, aged 4 he lived in Watford, with his parents and no siblings.  On the 1911 Census, aged 14 he still lived in Watford, with his parents and no siblings.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in Watford, and was formerly Private 33168 Suffolk Regiment. 


He was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was killed in action.  

Additional Information

Unfortunately, John’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
