His pension cards confirm his mother as Margaret Rivers, originally of Freya, Waverley Road Kenilworth, Warwickshire, then 17 Cobham Terrace, Greenhithe, Kent, and later still c/o Mr Routledge, 21 High Street, Hemel Hempstead, she was awarded 6s a week for life from 19 March 1918.
