Biography

Ephraim George Bowman was born 4 September 1888, in Tottenham, Middlesex to Ephraim Frowde (B: 1863) and Agnes (nee Prestage) (B: 1862). He had one sister, Beatrice (B: 1886).

In 1901, the Bowman family are living in St Pancras.

In 1911 Ephraim is a bank clerk, living with his parents at 18 Liverpool Street, St Albans.

Attested at Armoury House, Finsbury on 22 Nov 1915. Private in the Honourable Artillery Company, service number 5396. Served in 2nd Battalion, "B" Company. Arrived in France 2 Oct 1916 was killed in action 20 Oct 1916.
