Son of Walter James and Blanche Belvedere (nee WEATHERHEAD) RICHARDSON of Watford.
His parents married 12 June 1886 at St Andrew’s, Haverstock Hill, London. Blanche died 1924 in the Fylde, Lancs, district aged 59; Walter possibly died 1936 in the Epping, Essex, district aged 75.
Frederick was born 1897 in Camden Town, London, and baptised 30 May 1897 at St Matthew’s, Camden Town. He resided in Watford.
On the 1901 Census, aged 4 he lived in Camden Town, with his parents and two siblings. On the 1911 Census, a Swiss roller at chocolate factory aged 14, he lived in Watford, with his parents and seven siblings.
Officially recorded as born in Camden Town, Middx. and was living in Watford when he enlisted there.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in Watford; was entitled to the Victory, British War and 1914-15 Star medals, his qualifying date being 24 March 1915, and died at 14 General Hospital, Boulogne, of wounds received in action.
Additional Information
Unfortunately, Frederick’s Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing. There is a caption to a photograph of Frederick in the Watford Illustrated dated 22 May 1915.
