Pre War

Born on 16 May 1870 in Nagod, India son of Col. Frederick de Bohun Boone (6th Madras Inf.) and Mary (Wavell) Boone. Educated at Haileybury College 1884–88, Oriel College, Oxford and the Royal Military College, Sandhurst. He was unmarried. Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 13 Jul 1892 and promoted Captain on 9 Oct 1900. Served in Chitral Expedition in 1895 and South African Campaign 1900-02. Mentioned in despatches (London Gazette 10 Sep 1901). Member of Staff at Sandhurst.

Wartime Service

Entered France on 24 Aug 1914 at Le Havre. He was wounded at the Battle of the Marne and died of wounds at the American Hospital, Neuilly, Paris.
