Son of Charles and Alice Reid, of 34, Cornwall Rd., St. Albans.
Formerly employed by Edwin Lee's Boot Factory of St Albans.
It is believed that Henry signed up late in 1915.
Wartime Service
Served as part of the 118 Brigade, 39 Division.
Killed in action.
He was killed on Observatory Ridge which was near the village of Zillebeke, South East of Ypres. He died on the night of the 25th/26th March 1917.
According to the diaries he was most likely killed by shell fire.
