Son of Thomas and Florence Colmer (nee SMITH) TAYLOR of Watford.
His parents married 28 August 1876 at Holy Trinity, Newington, London. Florence died 1927 in the Hemel Hempstead, Herts, district aged 73.
Thomas was born 27 February 1882 in Watford, and baptised 24 September 1882 at St Lawrence’s, Bovingdon, Herts. He resided in Watford.
On the 1891 Census, a scholar aged 9 he lived in Bushey, Herts, with his parents and six siblings. On the 1901 Census, a plasterer aged 19, he lived in Watford, with is widowed mother and four siblings. On the 1911 Census, a plasterer aged 29, he still lived in Watford, with his widowed mother and three siblings.
Wartime Service
He enlisted in Watford; was entitled to the Victory and British War medals, and was killed in action.
Additional Information
Unfortunately, Thomas’ Service Record appears to be one that did not survive the World War Two bombing.
