Born 1 June, 1890 in Knebworth(*1) son of the late Frank Proctor, Consulting Engineer, by his wife, Lady Florence (7, Leighton Mansions, West Kensington, London, W.), daughter of the Hon. W. Beresford Annesley.
He was educated at Worksop College, and Bedford Grammar School went to Canada in April, 1910, and settled at Pander Island, British Columbia.
Wartime Service
Private, 102nd Battn. Canadian Infantry, Canadian Expeditionary Force,
He enlisted in the 67th Western Scots in Sept. 1915, then transferred to the 102nd Infantry Battn. in North British Columbia; served with the Expeditionary Force in France and Flanders from 17 Aug. 1916, and died at No. 22 Casualty Clearing Station 10 Aug. 1917, of wounds received in action at Bruay.
His Commanding Officer wrote : “Your son was one of our bravest and best soldiers, and a. boy that any mother could well be very proud of for his many good qualities and. virtues, and we all mourn his loss.”
