Born on 21 Jan 1877 in Lancaster Gate, London son of Rear-Admiral Henry Hamilton and Blanche Georgina (Hughes) Beamish and baptised on 6 Jun 1877. Educated at Haileybury College 1891-94. He married Esme Florence Longstaff in Jul 1915. He was secretary of the British Empire Shakespearean Society.

Wartime Service

Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant on 13 May 1915. He was injured on 24 May 1915 in Railway Wood near Ypres. He died in London.
