Born 20 Sep 1897 at Simla, India son of the Rev. Francis Henry and Amy (Stamper) Baring of "Marchdyke", Chandlers Ford, Hampshire. Educated at Haileybury College 1911-15.

Wartime Service

Formerly Lance Corporal G/15080 Royal West Kent Regiment he obtained a commission on 24 Jan 1917 and entered France on 14 Mar 1917. Died of wounds.

Additional Information

Brother of 2nd Lieutenant Reginald Arthur Baring who was killed in action on 9 Jun 1918 in France and of Private Charles Alexander Baring who was killed in action on 4 Sep 1916 in France with the Australian Infantry and of Lance Corporal Ernest Baring who died on 2 Apr 1917 in France with the Australian Infantry and are all commemorated on these memorials.
