Born in 1888 in Hertford son of Henry and Harriett Bailey and was living in 3 Oak Street in 1901. He married Catherine Ellen Giblenn on 14 Aug 1910 in Hertford and they lived initially with his father-in-law at 28 Thornton Street, Hertford and later at 135 Dynever Road, Stoke Newington and had one son. He was a butcher.
Wartime Service
Enlisted on 12 Dec 1915 in Hertford and entered France on 8 Sep 1916. He died in Reading War Hospital of gunshot wounds to the leg and chest.
