Pre War

Address given as Hall Place Gardens, St Albans.

Some records suggest that Roy was the son of Alfred and Eliza King, of 42, Warwick Rd., St. Albans, Herts. CWGC record him as the son of the late Douglas Petrie, possibly Eliza remarried & Roy adopted by stepfather?

Wartime Service

CWGC has Lance Corporal, DoD as 13/11/1914

There is a note about Petrie which suggests he was shot by a sniper from Clem.
