Pre War

Frank was born to Henry and Argentine Aylott and lived in the High Street, Buntingford with his two brothers George and Jack and three sisters, Argentine, Esme and Ivy. His father died in 1913 leaving Argentine to bring up the family. When war was declared George was exempt because he was working to support the family. Jack was too short at the beginning of the war to join up so Frank enlisted on 21.4.1915.

Wartime Service

He enlisted in Royston, Hertfordshire.
