Frederick Henry Arnold was born in 1894 in Goudhurst, Kent to Frederick Arnold and Jane Ellen (nee Willard).


Frederick Henry’s mother died in 1899, his father married Elizabeth Foulsham in 1900.


On the 1901 Census the family of parents, Jennie (born 1888) and Frederick Henry were living at Church Road, Goudhurst, Kent. There were other siblings : Rose (born 1870), Kate (born 1872).


On the 1911 Census the family of parents, Frederick Henry were living at  Lane, Goudhurst Kent, also recorded were Agnes Foulsham (niece, born 1901) and John Foulsham (father in law, born 1835)

Wartime Service

No Service record was found for Frederick. He was enlisted in 26th Training Reserve Battalion as Private TR/9/76951. He may have been training at Halton Park, Tring , taken ill and treated in one of the war hospitals in Tring where he he died on 18 Nov 1917.

Additional Information

No War Gratuity was awarded (no active service) but arrears of £2 0s 10d was paid to his stepmother.
