Born on 22 Nov 1894 in Straits Settlement, Penang son of Brig. Gen. Sir Francis James and Lady Frances Alice (O’Gorman) Anderson later of Ballydavid, Rossduff, Waterford, Ireland. Educated at Haileybury College 1909-12 and the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich.
Wartime Service
Gazetted 2nd Lieutenant in 1915, he served in "N" Battery. Royal Horse Artillery, "The Eagle Troop," as subaltern and Capt. for nearly 3 years. Military Cross (London Gazette 1 Jan 1918).
Killed in action by shell wounds.
