Born on 28 Dec 1887 son of James and Minna Paterson, later of Hook Cottage, Horndean, Hampshire. Educated at Haileybury College 1901–06.

Wartime Service

The battalion landed at Le Havre on 13 Aug 1914 and was involved in fighting near Gheluvelt. He was killed in action.
