Albert Charles Parker was born in St Pancras, London in 1895 to Fanny and William Parker.


On the 1901 Census he was living with his widowed mother and siblings as a boarder at 2 Back Row, Bishop’s Stortford.


In 1911 he was living at 4 Middle Row, Bishop’s Stortford and working as an errand boy. His older brother Alfred was the head of the household. His sister Aggie and younger brother Ernest were also living there. 

Wartime Service

He enlisted in Hertford and served in the Hertfordshire Regiment.

He died in action during the Battle of Ancre Heights (Battle of the Somme 1916).

Additional Information

His sister Agnes L Page received a war gratuity of £3 and pay owing of £4 11s 8d.
